Paul Rouse

Paul Rouse is Associate Professor in Modern Irish History at UCD and has been involved in the development of several major public history projects, including the GAA Oral History Project, Century Ireland and UCD’s history hub website.   He is a former newspaper journalist and a TV reporter with RTÉ Primetime Investigates, for whom he made a documentary, Lost Generation, which tells the history of elderly Irish citizens who live in Britain. He has also worked on documentaries for TG4 and now works as contributor and historical consultant on TV programmes. He is the author of several books, including ‘Sport and Ireland: A History’ and ‘The Hurlers: The First All-Ireland Hurling Championship and the Making of Modern Hurling’.
