Screen Training Ireland are delighted to support The Rathmullan Film Festival 2018. The festival is an all ages inclusive and participatory festival taking place in the beautiful seaside village of Rathmullan, Co. Donegal, from 15th to 18th of February. The programme has been curated by local community groups, businesses, school kids and film fanatics, with a view to engaging the local community in the creation of unique cinematic experiences.
This is a different approach to film festival programming as it promotes local creativity while offering residents and visitors a versatile programme of film screenings, workshops, food & film experiences, industry talks, sports fun and pub entertainment. Screen Training Ireland and Regional Cultural Centre are supporting an afternoon of industry talks which will cover topics such as setting up an award-winning production company, how to get started in the film business and the role of virtual reality in the future of cinema. Speakers include: Pierce Boyce (Abu Media), actor and director Keith O’Grady, director Orla Walsh (Northern Lights Films), actor and producer Jason Matthewson (Gold Movie Awards), writer and filmmaker Derek O’Connor, producer Catherine Lyons (Camel Productions), VR developer Dr.Jamie McrRoberts, and filmmaker and scholar Dr. Laura Aguiar.
