FAQ’s: Registration and Application Process

When you register to become a member on the Screen Skills Ireland website you register to receive information on courses and events. Please register here.

Complete the online registration form, upload a current CV and tick the areas of training you are interested in receiving training information. Click submit at the bottom of the form.

When registration is complete you will receive an email prompting you to activate your account.

When you register to become a member on the Screen Skills Ireland website you are automatically subscribed to our mailing list. Subscription preferences can be updated at any time. This can be done by clicking on the link update my subscription preferences which is located at the bottom of all Screen Skills Ireland emails.  You can subscribe to the Screen Skills Ireland e-newsletter and specify the areas in which you are interested in receiving training information.

When completing the online registration form you are required to upload a current CV. Go to the upload biog/CV section on the registration form click the browse button, search for your file and click attach. The file name will appear in the box. Complete the remainder of the registration form and click submit. Your registration is then complete and your CV attached.

Please note when uploading files to the Screen Skills Ireland website the files should be no larger than 15MB. Files should not contain any special characters in their titles such as ~, #, %, & , *, {, }, \, :, <, >, ?, /, |, “, ‘

When you register on the Screen Skills Ireland website you will receive an email which contains a link to activate your account.  The email will contain a username (this is the email you used to register on the site) and a password. Click on the link and login using the details contained in the email.

You can only change your password when you have activated your account.

When your account is activated please login and click the lost password button. Enter the email address you used when you registered with Screen Skills Ireland and you will receive and email from us prompting you to reset your password.

Remember you cannot change your password or access any of your details until you activate your account.

You cannot change your email address on your Screen Skills Ireland registered account. If you need to change your email address you will have to re-register with the new email address, input all your details and upload a CV. This will be your new account.  Your course and bursary history associated with the old email will remain in the old account.

A CV can be changed/updated online when you login to your Screen Skills Ireland account.  Please login and go to the MY DETAILS section of your account.  Go to the upload biog/CV section on the form click the browse button, search for your file and click attach. The file name will appear in the box replacing the old CV. The updated CV will automatically be updated on any pending course applications.

When you register with Screen Skills Ireland you will receive information via email on all Screen Skills Ireland courses. In the MY DETAILS area of your account please tick the areas in which you are interested in receiving training information. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button which is located at the bottom of all our emails.

When you register you can specify the areas in which you are interested in receiving training information by ticking the appropriate boxes on the registration form. You can also update this information in the MY DETAILS section of your account or by clicking the link update my subscription preferences which is located at the bottom of all Screen Skills Ireland emails.

If you are a member with an active account you can login with your username and password.  Go to upcoming courses, click on the course you wish to apply for and click apply.

If you do not have a Screen Skills Ireland account you must register online here and active your account.

Please ensure all information is complete in your member’s area and upload a current CV.

You are not required to upload a CV each time you apply for a course. The CV contained in your members account will be associated with all course applications. 

Following the deadline date for applications all applicants will be informed via email if they have been offered a place on the course.

When you are offered a place on a Screen Skills Ireland course you will receive an email instructing you to make a payment online.  You will then be in a position to pay for the course online in your member’s area.  View the terms of service and payment policy here.

Login and go to My Account, My Courses and go to the course you wish to make payment. Click Accept and pay now.  You will then be taken through the online payment process.

Go to the Funding Schemes on the Screen Skills Ireland website and click on Bursaries for an overview of the scheme. Criteria and Conditions are also available in this section.

Please note you need to be logged in or registered to apply for a bursary. Click here to Login/Register

When you apply for a bursary you will be required to upload a CV, references and other documents which are outlined in the Criteria and Conditions

You can unsubscribe from Screen Skills Ireland at anytime.  When you receive an email from Screen Skills Ireland there is an unsubscribe option at the bottom of the email. Please click unsubscribe and you will be removed from all email lists.
