Screen Skills Ireland is pleased to have partnered with Screen Skillnet to offer Working Remotely as an Editor. This course is offered free of charge to support the Irish creative screen industries impacted by the ongoing situation with COVID-19.
In this course participants will learn of the options available to Film and TV editors who need to work in a standalone environment. From external drives to cloud computing, we will explore solutions for every project and budget.
There will be a strong emphasis on aiding those who are new to working-from-home and without specialised set-ups and expensive subscription services.
The course will aim to help editors with every stage of a typical job – from rushes to delivery.
We will also look at the best ways to collaborate remotely with directors and producers and the tools available to facilitate these important relationships.
The initial course will be followed by 3 x 1 hour clinics where participants can bring their specific questions and challenges for discussion and advice.
This course is aimed at experienced Film & TV Editors, that normally work in-house, and are now working remotely for the first time. The course will look at technical solutions available to help editors work efficiently and to collaborate with directors and producers.
Screen Skills Ireland and Screen Skillnet courses are open to all regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
For technical difficulties with the online system please email email@example.com
