Course Profile:

This workshop aims to increase participants’ awareness of their roles and responsibilities in promoting a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace. Participants learn how to recognise and manage behaviours that can undermine individuals and teams, along with positive actions that, together with management’s commitment and the right policies, can create a culture in which everyone has opportunities to thrive and participate in the company’s operations and leadership. Participants will also create a plan of action to help apply the strategies learned in the course.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the meaning, benefits, and challenges of DEI
  • Recognise why DEI is important in the Screen sector
  • Know how to integrate DEI in casting, hiring, retention, advertising, content development and supplier selection
  • Identify actionable strategies to foster DEI in the Screen sector
  • Create an action plan to apply strategies learned

Participant Profile:

This 3-day course is aimed at Producers, Directors, Company leaders, HOD’s, Managers, Supervisors, Teams, and anyone interested in fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
