Screen Skills Ireland is pleased to have partnered with Screen Skillnet to offer Script Breakdowns for the Art Department. This course is being offered free of charge to support the Irish creative screen sector impacted by the ongoing situation with COVID-19.
A Script Breakdown is vital for prep, schedule and budgeting for a film.
This one day online workshop will give an overview of how to identify the most common production elements in a script which includes set dressing, props, picture vehicles, graphics, special effects, and VFX elements.
We will work on a case study of the script “Brooklyn”, a period feature film which was partly filmed in Ireland. There will be an in-depth analysis of each scene to identify specific requirements.
This course is aimed at new entrants and trainees who would like to get an overview of technical and vital elements of script breakdown for Live Action production from an Art Department perspective.
Please apply online at www.screenskillsireland.ie by 12pm on Wednesday 13th May, 2020. For further information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
