Learn how to create professional video and audio content using the tool you and your team already have – a smartphone
The rise of mobile journalism (mojo) is now enabling videographers to shoot, edit and publish professional video and audio content from one device, allowing them to tell more stories, faster, for audiences on multiple platforms.
In this practical workshop in partnership with Screen Skillnet and tutored by Caroline Scott, you’ll learn how to produce high-definition content on your smartphone, getting the most from your phone’s native camera and free editing app iMovie, before getting started with the most advanced shooting and editing applications available on the iOS App Store: FilmicPro and LumaFusion.
This intensive training will shift the way you think about producing video footage – you’ll learn how to use the latest tools to create a range of multimedia content for television, cinema and social platforms, and repurpose it for different audiences, driving traffic to your social pages and engagement to your business.
You’ll also learn how to use the key apps for making quick, on-the-go, yet stunning social media content – giving you a solid foundation in smartphone video production. For those more experienced in video editing, you’ll learn the advanced app features that are key to help you produce broadcast-quality content – and all the time-saving techniques you wont find online.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be empowered with the essential skills required to produce your own effective and engaging smartphone video content. Get ready for hands-on learning, demonstrations and practical exercises.
Note: This class is predominately aimed at iPhone users, but Android users are of course welcome as many of the skills are transferable to other applications on the Google Play Store.
This one-day course is aimed at Producers, Assistant Producers, Coordinators, Digital Producers, Social Media Managers and anyone interested in using MOJO techniques to tell stories.
Please apply online by 12.00pm on Tuesday 22 October 2019, attaching a current CV with your application. Please email a brief statement outlining your focus and motivation for attending this course to Críona Sexton at email@example.com.
