Course Profile:

This intensive course, brought to you in partnership with the UK’s National Film and Television School, aims to help experienced Production Managers understand what the role of the Line Producer encompasses. It will give you the knowledge required and teach the key skills to succeed in the role.

The course will include sessions on:

  • The role of the Line Producer
  • Hard and soft money
  • Cost reporting and working with the FC
  • Irish crew agreements and contracts
  • A completion bond, what is it and who is it for and how we get one
  • Production insurance both general and E&O
  • Movie Magic Budgeting and how to apply tax incentives
  • The Irish tax credit – understanding and using it
  • Understanding the skills development/training plan [required if accessing the Irish tax credit]
  • Post-production
  • HR in the screen sector

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at experienced Production Managers looking to move into the role of Line Producer in the Film & TV Drama sector.  It is also open to Line Producers who have recently stepped into this role.

The course is limited to 12 participants.
