Course Profile:
This course is the second in a number of three workshops run for people working in the screen industry. It is ideal for department heads, those managing people in the industry, and people who are about to step up to this role.
In this module we look at creating a great team environment in which things run well, people know what’s happening and everyone feels empowered to have positive impact. Things that we will cover include:
- Exploring successful teams/departments
- Laying the foundations for success at the outset of a project
- Tools & strategies for communicating effectively
- Tools for having difficult conversations & managing conflict
- Giving effective feedback
- Managing & empowering your people
The other modules that are running are:
- Building Resilience and Time Management – aimed at anyone working in the screen sector who feels that they would benefit from learning resilience and time management skills. Saturday 18th January, 2020
- Managing Mentoring – aimed at anyone taking on a mentoring or supervisory role, particularly on S481 funded projects. Saturday 1st February, 2020.
Participant Profile:
This course is aimed at anyone working in the Film & TV Drama sector who is currently working in a leadership role or preparing to move into one.
