This course, delivered in partnership with Screen Skillnet, is the last of a series of courses being run dealing with stress and mental health issues in the screen sector. The management of mental health on a production has become even more difficult due the Covid-19 pandemic. This course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help. This module will focus on reducing stigma, self-care along with how to deal with self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
The course is accredited by OFQUAL.
This course is aimed at Line Producers, Production Mangers and Heads of Departments who want to gain an understanding of how to manage their own mental health, resilience and wellbeing and create healthy working environments which respond to the mental health needs of their crews.
The course is limited to 12 participants.
Screen Skills Ireland courses are open to all regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
